G3MS Sapphire Mechanical Switches
The Dark Project engineering team introduced the G3MS switches as their first original design. This innovative switch reduces the contact area between the stem (the moving part) and the housing, resulting in lower friction. Consequently, these switches provide an exceptionally smooth typing experience, eliminating spring noise and other unwanted sounds typically found with other switches.

PBT Keycaps and Double-Shot Technology
The keycaps of the Dark Project – 87 Ink gaming keyboard are made from PBT plastic, which is highly resistant to chemicals and much more durable and abrasion-resistant than ABS plastic. Notably, the keycaps are manufactured using Double-Shot molding technology, where each keycap consists of two separate plastic molds. These molds are fused under high pressure and temperature, ensuring that the symbols on the keycaps remain intact even after extensive, heavy use.

Effortless Backlight Control – Software and Hotkeys
This keyboard features full RGB backlighting with a range of customizable effects. Users can choose from a palette of 16.7 million colors to set the perfect ambiance. A dedicated diode under each key provides a directional light beam, allowing control over color, intensity, and brightness through the Dark Project software or via preset keyboard shortcuts, as outlined in the included user manual.
